Information Technology

Information Technology was created as the Greene County Data Processing Department in 1981 to provide technology support for all County offices.

Ever-changing technologies offer government the challenge of knowing how these innovations may enable better service and communication with the public and allow for more efficient and cost effective government. It is our responsibility to provide guidance, advice and support to other County agencies in the acquisition and use of technology.

The department oversees the many aspects of information services, including traditional centralized data processing, server-based systems, inter- and intranet applications, phone systems, audio-visual equipment, and standalone PCs.
