Shout Out to Sabrina Ersken for being a reliable team plater and helping however she can.

As the Senior Tourism Marketing Manager, Erin Dennin has taken on many new tasks and duties, but her willingness to take Short-Term-Rentals on by the horns has proven her work ethic and dedication to her position. The STR effort is largely uncharted territory for the County and Erin was assigned to be the point person for property owners and community members to contact with questions regarding the registration process. Not only has she created new processes and SOPs to log the calls and inquiries, but she has also done so with a positive attitude and a driven initiative. Even without precedence to rely on as we do with many projects, Erin’s continued efforts to help the property owners while smoothing out a new County process deserves a shout out, at the very least. Great job Erin!

Shout Out to Raymond Hernandez for always keeping spirits high in the office.

A huge Shout Out to Glen Lubera! We are incredibly grateful and truly appreciate Glen's hard work, patience, and dedication that he gives to all of us at the Probation Department. He has managed one of the most challenging caseloads in the department, while also supervising others and has done it with professionalism and resilience. His commitment to supporting this department does not go unnoticed. Thank you, Glen, for everything that you do!

Shout Out to April VanValkenburg for doing an outstanding job working with our adolescent probation population! Our department truly appreciates your professionalism and willingness to take on this role as well as the dedication you bring to it every day. Shout Out to Maria and her team for providing a fun and informative game of Jeopardy here at the County Office Building. I enjoy getting to learn about the various county departments in a super fun way!

Emily Kingman at the Greene County District Attorney's Office is such a sweetheart! She always puts a smile on my face!

Shout Out to Maria D'Errico for securing the 2026 IceAlert Kit Grant from the Public Employer Risk Management Association (PERMA). This grant will be used to provide support for safety initiatives. Congratulations and thank you for all you do for Greene County employees, Maria. You are truly appreciated!!

Shout Out to Jennifer Passero, Public Health Office Manager. Jenn is the most helpful person ever! She works closely with our Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs Program Coordinator to meet the demands of our deliverables, and she is always ready to help with any other requests. She is an asset to Public Health and a pleasure to work with!

I would like to post a shoutout to Gene, Andy and the entire crew at the Hunter Solid Waste Transfer Station.
These Greene County employees make it a point to:
• Greet everyone with a smile
• Assist the public in the removal of waste from there automobiles
• Offer to carry bags of garbage into the building for homeowners
• Offer to carry cardboard and other products to designated areas
• Share kind and neighborly words.

Shout Out to April VanValkenburg in Probation who has seamlessly taken the reigns with Family Court. She has stepped up, embraced the challenge with grace and is making it look effortless. Your hard work, dedication, and positivity is immensely appreciated by your co-workers, and I hope you know how loved you are!

April VanValkenburg should be recognized for her extra hard work while a co-worker is on maternity leave. April has been doing the job of two people for months, and she is doing a fantastic job at that. She always has a positive attitude, is reliable, dependable, kind and a pleasure to work with. Sara Rupeka from Probation should be acknowledged for her exceptional job with every Pre-Sentence and Pre-Pleas Investigation report she completes. She puts her all into every report and she does the bulk of all the reports for the department. Sara is extremely detailed, organized, and knowledgeable. She treats everyone with kindness, and I am truly blessed to work with her.

April VanValkenburg at the Greene County Probation Department should be recognized for all that she does. I see every single day how hard she works and what a great job she does!

Shout Out to Ray Hernandez from Probation. He has been such a wonderful addition to the Probation Department. Ray is very friendly, helpful, hardworking, and always has a positive uplifting attitude. The Probation department is lucky to have him!

Scott Brady in the IT Department is always very patient and thorough. We appreciate his kindness in his approach! He always makes a computer issue less stressful.

Shout Out to Kelly Kircher, Director of Early Intervention for an amazing job at the Youth Health Fair on June 6, 2026, for our families of children and youth with special health care needs. Kelly is so organized and an awesome person to work with. The snack shack is her specialty and was a big hit again this year! Such a beautiful display!
Public Health is so lucky to have such a great supervisor to work with!

Felicia Walters at the Greene County Probation Department is such a pleasure to work with. I feel that she should be acknowledged for her hard work and determination. I enjoy seeing her every day. Thank you, Felicia, for being you!

Shout Out to Patty and the Tourism team for planning and implementing an incredibly successful Rev250 event. The day was started with a beautiful ceremony honoring Greene County’s historic past and its place in the American Revolution and finished out with a street fair complete with family activities, live entertainment, and food trucks. The event required an immense amount of planning, attention to detail, coordination, and fundraising. Patty and her team’s work should be celebrated for their efforts over the better part of the last year. Thank you, Tourism!
