PUBLIC NOTICE OF SALE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to New York State County Law §215(5) and Greene County Resolution No. 296-26, Greene County will sell to the highest bidder a small portion of Tax Map ID No.: 83.00-4-1 located in the Town of Cairo, Greene County, New York consisting of approximately 0.275 acres of land, more or less, and described as follows:
Beginning at a point marked by an iron pin (found disturbed) in a stone wall corner, said being on the boundary line between lands of Amanda-Marie Freeman on the north and the lands of the County of Greene on the east, south and west, running thence along said lands of Freeman and said stone wall the following course and distance:
N 47o 42’ 47” W 96.00’ to an iron pin with Santo Cap (found) and lands of the Stabile Family Trust; running thence along said lands of the Stabile Family Trust to and along a stonewall the following course and distance:
S 59o 12’ 53” W 178.71’ to an iron pipe (found) and lands of Eduardo L. Romero-Jimenez; running thence along said lands of Romero-Jimenez the following course and distance:
S 24o 51’ 07” E 35.28’ to a point; running thence through the aforementioned lands of the County of Greene the following course and distance:
N 74o 18’ 56” E 217.83’ to the point and place of beginning. Containing 0.275 acres of land, reference is made to a survey map prepared by Santo Associates Land Surveying and Engineering, P.C., as Drawing Number CG8632, dated 03/27/25 and last revised 07/30/25 and is on file in the Greene County Clerk’s Office in Easi M, Map Number 2025-101.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the subject parcel of land is landlocked, lacking ingress and egress and
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the subject parcel may be encumbered with maintenance and utility easements which may run with the land; and
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the subject parcel of land does not conform to the current zoning requirements of the Town of Cairo and is believed to be undevelopable.
THE MINIMUM BID WHICH THE COUNTY WILL ACCEPT SHALL NOT BE LESS THAN FIFTEEN THOUSAND ($15,000.00) DOLLARS.
NO BID SHALL BE ACCEPTED AFTER 5:00 PM on September 4, 2026.
