September 10 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Image002

“International Overdose Awareness Day is held every year on August 31st.  New York State commemorates this on September  10th.

This day serves to remember those lost to overdose, learn more about overdose, and advocate for change.

The theme for Overdose Awareness Day 2025 is “One Big Family”.  On this day, imagine a new meaning of what family can be.  A family driven by hope, love, and action.  We are one big family – not just because we share in the pain of loss, but because we share in the power to change what comes next. Greene County Public Health Department designed informational lawn signs using overdose data from our own county.  While paused at an intersection, or waiting at a traffic light, take time to learn more about what’s happening in your own backyard.

If you are interested in learning more about overdose, or where to find Naloxone (an opioid reversal drug), contact us at Public Health at (518)719-3600.  We also provide an online order form to discreetly receive harm reduction supplies directly to your home.  Harm Reduction Supplies Available | Greene County, New York
